Learners will develop a clear understanding of how infiltration rates affect water application rates and irrigation scheduling. How to accurately measure soil infiltration rates will be explained as well as factors that affect soil infiltration rates.

This course will cover:
a. Defining and measuring the Infiltration rates of a variety of souls and situations.
b. How water application rates, through Irrigation scheduling, are affected by soil intake rates.
c. Factors that can increase and / or decrease a soil’s infiltration rate
d. How to match irrigation schedules to real life soil infiltration rates.
